ABOUT DR KHAIRUL ALAM BHUIYAN

I am an experienced advisor to global entrepreneurs and a qualified IT professional, with a career spanning over two decades in ICT-driven international organizations since 1997. Throughout my journey, I have successfully served a diverse range of corporate clients through my own companies, supported by a dedicated team of skilled professionals.

Through my company, iLAP Global Education Group, I have collaborated with a talented team of edupreneurs to deliver educational products and services to a broad clientele, including multiple iLAP franchises worldwide. Our operations extend directly to 12 countries and are supported by a global network reaching over 40 countries, consistently achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

My team of industry-specific experts provides professional advice, strategic guidance, and actionable solutions across diverse sectors. Our expertise encompasses franchises, mergers and acquisitions, alliances, partnerships and joint ventures, immigration and legal support, work permits and visa assistance, travel and tourism services, as well as investments in luxury properties and resorts.

As a serial entrepreneur, I have founded and directed more than 25 companies globally over the past twenty-five years. My ventures span the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, and Asia, with my first enterprise established in 1999. I am passionate about creating innovative products and scalable business services that make a tangible impact.

...

A dual national—Bangladeshi by birth and British by citizenship—I arrived in the UK in 1999 and have since established a dynamic international presence. I also hold a third residency right in Portugal, reflecting my broad European engagement, where I frequently enjoy holidays. I have visited many countries, including Switzerland over 40 times, the Czech Republic more than 30 times, and the United States over 20 times. Because of my frequent international journeys—often travelling two to three times each month—my colleagues often joke with me as the “Flying Man,” a testament to my global reach and visionary outlook.

My travels have taken me to countries such as Canada, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Ukraine, Morocco, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Singapore, India, and Nepal. Each destination has offered me unique and unforgettable experiences. Within the UK, I have explored countless iconic sites across England, Scotland, and Wales, often by car, and have come to deeply appreciate the breathtaking landscapes these regions offer.

On a personal note, I am a dependable individual who values friendliness and calmness. I prefer to avoid stress and maintain a cheerful outlook that helps me stay composed and youthful. I enjoy meeting new people, actively engage in social networks, and prioritize quality time with friends and family despite my busy schedule.

I am actively involved in volunteer work and was recognised with a ‘Humanist’ award in 2017 by the International Human Rights Commission, Geneva, Switzerland, for my commitment to defending human rights as a frontline advocate in the UK National Chapter. Beyond my business and social achievements, I (born in 1971) am known for my hard-working, friendly, positive, calm, and resilient outlook. Guided by the belief that “life is too short for regrets," I inspire others to dream boldly and live each day fully.

Educational Background

From my early age, I entrusted my decision-making to my parents, faithfully following their guidance, which they believed served my best interests. Throughout my schooling in Bangladesh, I consistently ranked among the top performers. However, it was only twenty-one years later, when I stepped out to the neighbouring country of India to pursue advanced studies in Information Technology, that I came to a significant realization. While my strong academic record secured my admission to the prestigious Bangalore University - situated in India’s renowned Silicon Valley - I recognized that my understanding of the broader world and essential life skills was limited. Vital competencies such as problem-solving, decision-making, social interaction, public speaking, salesmanship, and emotional self-management were areas I had yet to develop.

Motivated by this insight, I began to pursue my passions, focusing on acquiring knowledge and skills that both inspired me and held practical relevance. Through everyday experiences and deliberate effort, I gradually cultivated foundational lifelong learning skills. Concurrently, I successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Bangalore University.

Subsequently, I relocated to the United Kingdom to further my education, earning a Master of Science in Information Technology and a second master's degree - an MBA - from Plymouth Marjon University (also known as the University of St Mark and St John). In 2006, I was honoured with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Technology Management, awarded at the Sir Alexander Fleming Hall, Imperial College, University of London, South Kensington Campus.

Following the completion of my highest academic qualification, I transitioned to permanent residency status in the UK under the points-based Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP), a distinguished Tier-1 immigration route governed by UK regulations. Eventually, I attained British citizenship - an achievement that reflects a challenging yet rewarding journey.

Throughout my academic and professional development, I have also pursued numerous professional certifications, diplomas, and short courses across multiple countries, including Bangladesh, India, Switzerland, the United States, and the United Kingdom. These credentials include the Instructor Certification Program (ICP), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW), Master Diploma in Software Engineering, Global Networking Professional (GNET-Pro), and a Diploma in Professional Multimedia & Broadcast Animation, among others. I remain committed to continuous learning, steadily expanding my business acumen and expertise, guided by the belief that education is the foundation of progress.

  • Leadership And Entrepreneurship

In April 2018, I completed 'Leadership And Entrepreneurship' course, a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. The University of Oxford’s Department for Continuing Education attracts students from over 120 countries globally. Its courses are supported by academic staff who are full faculty members of the University, many of whom hold professorships. The department serves approximately 14,000 part-time adult learners enrolled in over 1,000 courses and programmes. Established in 1878, the department has a distinguished history of providing high-quality education to adult learners worldwide.
